A Certificate of Roadworthiness is necessary in certain situations, such as when a vehicle is being sold, a used vehicle is being re-registered, or a Vehicle Defect Notice needs to be cleared. This certificate can only be issued by a licensed vehicle tester operating from a designated garage or service station. The vehicle must pass the inspection to receive the certificate.
To register or transfer a vehicle, a current certificate of roadworthiness is required, meaning it must have been issued no more than 30 days prior to the application.
During the inspection, our team will check key components to ensure they are fit for safe road use, including wheels and tyres, steering, suspensions, and braking systems, seats and seatbelts, lights and reflectors, windscreen and windows (including wipers and washers), vehicle structure, and other safety-related items on the body, chassis, or engine.
